As an orthopedic surgeon, I treat various musculoskeletal conditions, including arthritis and other degenerative diseases that affect our joints. Among other things, I also care for traumatic injuries which may result from accidents and falls. Also, I am involved in research and educating the network’s residents and medical students.
I graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine. I completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the former St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. Before joining St. Luke’s Orthopedic Care, I finished an orthopedic trauma surgery fellowship at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
I am board-certified and specialize in treating traumatic injuries and hip and knee replacements. The use of technology-assisted devices and muscle sparing approaches like an anterior approach to the hip assist me in precisely replacing joints with minimal harm to surrounding tissue. Technology aids me in attaining less blood loss, fewer complications during surgery, reduced risk of infection, minor scars, and quicker recovery.
In 2011, I joined St. Luke’s International Surgical Studies Program allowing me to work with, educate and learn from the staff at Mbingo Baptist Hospital in Cameroon, Africa. To this present day, I have continued to bring health equity with my works in Sub-Saharan Africa through my partnerships in Ghana.
While I mainly grew up in Queens, New York, my parents are from Nigeria. They continue to be an integral part of my life as a surgeon, a husband, and a father of two young boys.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions from our
nationally recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do

“The Doctor and His Team were very thorough and knowledgeable. I would recommend this Team to all who may need Orthopedic Care. The results of the procedures the Doctor ordered for me helped me tremendously. In this day of trial and error; Dr. N hit the nail on the head the very first time. He knew exactly what I needed after first listening to my issues and from my answers to his very specific questions. I trust him completely; which is a rare experience and quality in the Medical Profession of today. I'm Not the only person who knows and feels that way, unfortunately.”
