I enjoy seeing new patients and diagnosing their problems while creating an efficient treatment plan to improve their quality of life. I try to approach every patient as I would a family member’s care.
I am an orthopedic physician assistant at St Luke's University Health Network. My practice is dedicated to evaluation and treatment of acute orthopedic conditions. I bring over 20 years of experience in the orthopedic world, both in the office and operating room. I work together with a team of surgeons and therapists to provide a patient experience that is both convenient and compassionate. I enjoy educating patients in the office to make sure they understand the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan.
When I’m not seeing patients, I enjoy all things family and outdoors. My wife, son, daughter and golden retriever love hiking and sports. I volunteer coach my children’s basketball, football and soccer teams. I am an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoys gentlemen’s farming in western PA where my family’s farm is located.

“It was great I walked thru the door and the girl at the desk smiled and said good morning. Took me right back. An emergency came up and I had to bring my 12 month old great niece with me to the appointment she was very kind and left her come with me. The Pa was great he gave me a shot 7 months ago and this was the first I started having pain again. He reassured me that the shots are working and no surgery is required at this time.”

“The front desk lady was super nice. Dr. Ropp was great and knowledgeable. He genuinely cared about my son and answered our questions. The lady that did the xray was not very personable and seemed mad. Maybe she was having a bad day?”

“Everyone was so attentive to my mother of 92. They took very good care of her and the day after when her fingers were swollen told me what to do for her. They even cared about me when I was emotiona)y upset. It's been a roller coaster ride. Tell them I said thank you for caring!”
